Kandath Tharavad, the ancestral home of the Kandath family, is set in the lush rice paddies of rural Palakkad in Kerala. The house is a two hundred year old gem of Kerala architecture constructed primarily of mud and teak in 1794 by the present owner’s ancestor.

Set in a rustic village outside Palakkad town, it transports you to a bygone era away from the busy traffic and into a countryside that is absolutely quiet and calm. The morning walks amidst fresh breeze and the starlit skies in silent surroundings are something you’ll treasure for the rest of your life.
